Schweigert hot dogs to be served at Target Field

The infamous Hormel Dome Dog will not be following the Minnesota Twins to their new home at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minn., which has caused some curiousity as to what brand of hot dogs will be sold at the new stadium.  The Star Tribune reported on Monday March 8 that local Schweigert hot dogs will provide four different kinds of hot dogs in the new field in April.

Schweigert used to only provide hot dogs on Wednesday nights during Dollar-A-Dog days, which will now be moved to Monday nights (excluding Opening Day).  The Twins Big Dog will officially replace the Hormel Dome Dog coming in at a quarter-pound all-beef hot dog.

Schweigert also provided hots dogs for the Minnesota Wild games at Xcel Energy Center.  The company has been around since 1937.
